Call To Worship

CTW - 30

The Lord Jesus who calls us to worship him today
is the same Jesus who refused the temptation
to worship the evil one.
Rather than receive the glorious kingdoms of this world, he endured the shame of the cross, and today is Lord of lords and King of kings. Now are gathered in him all the treasures
of wisdom and knowledge, glory, and power. With the saints of all ages we say,

“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom
and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

SONG- All Creatures Of Our God And King

Confession/Assurance - Psalm 130 (adapted)

Help, God – the bottom has fallen out of my life!

O Lord, hear my voice!

Please listen, hear my voice, listen to my cries for mercy.

If you, O Lord, kept records of wrongdoings, who would stand a chance?

But because of Jesus blood, shed for us, there is forgiveness.

Jesus died the death we should have died, and rose into the new life we share with Him right now, by His resurrection power!

God, you are worthy of worship!

We wait for You, O Lord! May our lives be a constant, active waiting for You!

And in Your promises we hope;

Waiting for Your promised return,

When you will restore the world and bring heaven to earth.

O Church, bride of Christ, hope in the Lord.

He will make you perfect on that final day!

SONG - More Like Jesus

Offering Introduction/Liturgy - Giving

Hear the words of  Jesus:

“Freely you have received, freely give.” (Matthew 10: 8, NIV)
As an act of worship, in response to God’s mercy, we give back to him what he has blessed us with so this church can continue to lift up the name of Jesus in this city and throughout the world.

Let’s pray:

Awesome are You, our God, Maker of all things.  Through your goodness you have blessed us with these gifts. With them we offer ourselves to your service and dedicate our lives to the care and redemption of all that you have made, for the sake of him who gave himself for us— Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.
