These are questions that we use in our weekly community groups, but you can use them as questions for reflection throughout the week.

ICE BREAKER
With this week being all about the snowpocolypse, what’s you a significant memory or story of severe weather from growing up?

PASSAGE DISCUSSION
(Remember: Your goal is good discussion, not just to get through all the questions. Choose the best, leave the rest.)

Read 2 Timothy 3:14-17.

UNDERSTAND THE WORD
What reasons do you have for believing that the Bible is reliable or not?

This text says the Bible is “God-breathed,” what does that mean?

Let’s list out all the things this text teaches us about the Bible.

Re-read v. 16 – what do each of these things practically mean, in a day-to-day sense? Maybe an example of how you would use the Scripture for each of these things… Profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.

APPLY THE WORD (select 1 question before hand to use in guy/girl time)
What is the point of reading the Bible? (TO KNOW/EXPERIENCE GOD! Make sure your group gets there.)

How has your life personally been affected by Scripture?

What do your patterns of reading the word look like? What’s a good next step that we can hold you accountable to? (Use this question if you break into guy/girls)

What reasons/excuses do you have for not reading the Bible regularly?

MEN AND WOMEN TIME
(We normally will split into groups of men and women for more in depth sharing and prayer at the end.)
Use the question provided above if you split up this week.
